A Pain in the Neck.

My neck hurts.

I'm not sure what I did but the left side of my neck, sort of under and behind my ear, is incredibly stiff and sore. In order to look to my left I have to turn my whole upper body in that direction. (It's made driving LOTS of fun!) And since I've spent the day turning my body like that, now my back is hurting. And I had my daughter's T-Ball practice to coach tonight, so most of the rest of my body is hurting now too. I'm basically one giant pain! (As many have told me before...)

I'm seriously considering taking some of those back pain pills you see advertised on TV, but I'd have to drive to the store to get them (a painful experience since several turns are involved) and I don't like how they make you feel--pretty much zombie-ish for the rest of the day. But the pain is getting worse, so I may have to do something. Maybe a heating pad.

Speaking of heat, I'm trying to keep my new chicks warm. We picked up 6 new little baby chickens today. They're in a box in the garage. They're really cute right now, but they get ugly fast. Once they start growing up, they get that sort of 7th grade gangly look and their feathers come in slowly in little bunches so that they look like they're diseased for a while. I'm hoping these little guys will be as productive as the last bunch I bought. I got 6-8 eggs every day from my 8 hens for over 2 years! That's a lot of eggs for such a small herd. Or flock. Or pride. Whatever you call a bunch of chickens. (Brood?)

I'll post pics of the little babes as soon as I get them off my camera.

Well, I'm going to try and find a heating pad. Or maybe a glass of wine. Or some aspirin. SOMEthing to kill the pain.
